The rules of the booking, in numbers

This page fixes the numbers for Senada Phinisi. The deposit is 50% and goes first. What is left is paid 30 days before departure. Cancel from 60 days out and 50% returns to you; cancel at 30 to 59 days and 25% does. Should the boat be unable to sail, the options are a replacement or a full refund.
Two payments: deposit, then balance
You pay twice. The deposit is 50% of the total and it confirms the booking. The rest of the price falls due 30 days ahead of departure. Before the deposit, we confirm the cabin plan, the dates and the price in writing, so the group knows what it is paying for.
VAT of 11% is included in the price you are quoted. Park tickets, flights, hotels before and after the trip, and tips are never in a price, and they are never added without a written quote.
A private charter price does not carry the guide or the photo and video documentation. They are on request and quoted separately, and we confirm them in writing before you pay. On an open trip, both are included.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine.
Cancellation and refund
A cancellation made 60 or more days out returns 50%. From 30 to 59 days before departure, 25% is refunded. Under 30 days before departure, nothing is refunded. The table shows the same bands.
Refunds are paid within 14 days. The group organiser cancels for everyone, in writing.
If we cannot provide the trip, the rule runs the other way. When the boat cannot sail, you get a phinisi in the same class or above, sailing your own dates with nothing more to pay, or a full refund paid within 14 days.

Changing the date
You can change the date free of charge up to 30 days before departure. From 29 to 14 days before departure the change costs IDR 500,000. If you ask to move the date inside 14 days, we treat it as a cancellation and the bands above decide the refund.
Changing the number of guests is a change to the price, so tell us as soon as the group knows. The whole-boat price follows the group size, and each guest above 12 up to 18 adds the amount on the price list.
A new date is subject to the boat being free, and we confirm it in writing before the change takes effect.
Replacement boat rule
If the boat cannot sail, be it a breakdown, a port order or a park order, you get a phinisi in the same class or above, sailing your own dates with nothing more to pay, or a full refund paid within 14 days. Before the group commits, we write down which boat, what changes and what stays the same.
The replacement is a phinisi in the same class or above, carrying the same group, and it is not this boat. A particular deck or cabin number on the new boat is not promised.
This rule covers the boat and the orders that stop it from sailing. The weather and the itinerary on the day are described below.
Children, VAT and payment methods
From birth to age 2, a child sails free with a parent or guardian. From age 3 the full price applies. Give the ages at booking, and the cabin plan and head count are sent back in writing before you pay.
VAT of 11% is included in the quoted price. Ask us about a cot, a child seat or a child-sized life jacket first, and our written answer reaches you before the payment.
The block shows the ways to pay. Card payments go through a payment link. Any fee on a payment method is shown before you pay.
Payments we accept
Secure payment by Stripe, Airwallex, American Express, Visa, Mastercard.
Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.
Sea conditions and who decides
Weather can change the itinerary. Route, stop order and the night anchorage are the captain's to decide, and the night anchorage follows the weather that day. The harbour authority decides when tourist boats may sail, and the rangers decide the paths on the park islands.
We promise no sighting of a dragon or a manta, no snorkel visibility and no tide. A change of order, or a stop dropped for safety, belongs to the captain's call.
The booking is governed by Indonesian law. If any term is unclear, ask. The answer is written, and it comes before payment.
FAQ
When is the balance due for the whole group?
The whole group pays the balance together, 30 days before departure. The deposit of 50% comes first and confirms the booking. Put the date in the group chat, so the organiser collects every share in time.
What if I cancel 40 days before?
From 30 to 59 days before departure, 25% is refunded. At 40 days you are in that band. Refunds are paid within 14 days, and the table on this page shows the same bands.
Is there a fee to change dates?
Free up to 30 days before departure. From 29 to 14 days the change costs IDR 500,000. From day 14 onward it is a cancellation. A new date depends on the boat being free, and we confirm it in writing.
What if weather stops the trip?
The captain chooses on the day where the boat goes. The itinerary may shift with the weather. If the boat cannot sail at all, you get a phinisi in the same class or above, sailing your own dates with nothing more to pay, or a full refund paid within 14 days.
