What the park charges, and why it is never in the boat price

Updated 26 October 2026

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Komodo national park fees for a group of 18 are charged per head per day. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000. For an Indonesian guest it is IDR 50,000 Monday to Friday, then IDR 75,000 on weekend days. None of it is in the Senada Phinisi price.

Ask us

Fees by type of guest

The park charges by the guest and by the day. Foreign guests pay IDR 250,000 a day, with no difference between weekdays and weekends. Indonesian guests: IDR 50,000 for a weekday, IDR 75,000 for weekends and public holidays. The ticket covers trekking, watching the wildlife and snorkelling, so there is no separate levy for the snorkel stops.

Rates are taken from PP 36/2024, which has governed Komodo's fees since 30 October 2024, and we checked them in October 2026. Other charges sit outside the entry ticket, such as the ranger for the island walks and the pier levies, and they are paid separately and can change.

A higher foreign fee has been under study, with no new amount or date announced. Check the figure again when you book.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest, separate from the boat price. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

The sum for eighteen guests

The sum is plain. Take the fee for each guest, multiply by the number of guests in that group, then by the number of park days on your route. Foreign and Indonesian guests go on separate lines, and weekend days go on a third.

A calculator below works out the cost for 2, 4 or 10 guests across 1, 2 or 3 days. For eighteen, send us the split between foreign and Indonesian guests, and we write the sum in the reply.

The whole boat divided by the group sits beside it. For 12 guests on 3 days the boat is IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each, and the park adds IDR 250,000 for each foreign guest for each day in the park. Wondering how many park days your route counts? Ask, and the number comes back in writing ahead of payment.

Put two lines in the group's budget, one for the boat and one for the park. The total is the sum of both.

Weekend and weekday

For foreign guests the day of the week changes nothing. For Indonesian guests it does. The weekday ticket is IDR 50,000 and the weekend ticket is IDR 75,000, and the higher rate covers public holidays and joint-leave days as well as Saturdays and Sundays.

A group that mixes both kinds of guest, such as a family with relatives from Jakarta and from Munich, should note the dates. On a 3-day trip that starts on a Friday, the park days that fall on the Saturday or the Sunday carry the weekend rate for the Indonesian guests.

Send us the dates and the nationalities in the group. Each kind of guest gets its own park line from us, written out before any payment.

Where the ticket is paid

The park issues tickets online and nowhere else, each one tied to a visitor's name and passport or ID number. Payment is digital, and there is no cash at the gate. A visitor without a ticket in their own name can be refused, so the names on the tickets must match the guest list.

Ask us how the group's tickets are arranged for your date. The answer reaches you in writing before payment, together with the names we need and the date we need them by.

Whoever books a ticket for you, ask for the e-ticket in your name. Pay only against an invoice naming the company, the boat and the dates. A person who approaches you at the pier is never paid.

Why it is not in the boat price

The ticket belongs to the park, not to the boat. It is state revenue set by regulation, it differs by nationality and by day, and it can change. A boat price that included it would be wrong for half the groups, or would hide a number that moves.

So the park ticket stays out of every price on this site, as do the flights, the hotels before and after the trip, and the tips. You see the boat price and the park line side by side, and you add them yourself.

The price list, the open-trip seats and the private charter all follow that rule. A guide and photo documentation are included in a seat and not in a private price. The park ticket is in neither.

FAQ

How much is the ticket for an adult foreigner?

IDR 250,000 per person for each day, whatever the day of the week. It covers trekking, watching the wildlife and snorkelling. Rangers and piers charge levies on their own, and those can change. The ticket is never in the Senada Phinisi price, and we confirm the number of park days in writing before you pay.

Do children pay the park fee?

The park data we hold lists the foreign and Indonesian tickets per person per day and gives no child rate, so we state none. Ask us for your group's ages, and we confirm in writing what the park charges before you pay. A child's fare on the boat is separate: from age 3 the full price applies.

Is the Padar ticket separate?

No. The entry ticket covers trekking, wildlife and snorkelling across the park, so the Padar walk is not a second ticket. Ranger fees and pier levies stand apart from the ticket, and they can change. What applies on your date is something to ask us; the written answer arrives before the payment.

Can we pay by card?

The park takes digital, non-cash payment through its own online system, with no cash at the gate. Ask us how your group's tickets are arranged for your date. We confirm the answer in writing, with the names we need, before you pay the balance.

Is the ticket in the boat price?

Never. Park tickets, flights, hotels before and after the trip, and tips are outside every price on this site. The boat price covers the boat, transfers, meals, snacks, drinks and snorkel gear, and on an open trip the guide and documentation as well.
