Step one: the message with group size and dates
Step one is a single message. Give us your group size, the route you have in mind, two possible dates and the ages of any children. If you want seats on a shared departure, add the cabin type.
We reply with the boat or the cabins for those dates, the price and a cabin plan. For seats we confirm the cabin by name; for the whole boat, we confirm that it is free.
No money changes hands yet. Our reply is in writing, and so is every change after it. If the dates aren't fixed, give us the month and we'll tell you which Fridays, Mondays or Wednesdays are open, or which days the boat is free. The steps below show the three stages in order.

Step two: the deposit and what it holds
Step two holds the boat. The deposit is 50% of the price, paid once you have our written confirmation.
From then on, the date and the cabins are yours. If plans change, tell us and we put the change in writing. The refund rules are on the terms page, and a reschedule costs IDR 500,000.

From the day we confirm it in writing, the boat or the cabin stays at the price you were quoted, and that written confirmation is the document to keep.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine.
Step three: pay the balance, send the names
Pay the balance 30 days before departure. At the same time, send us everyone's names exactly as they appear on their passports or ID cards, plus the children's ages.
Children pay the full price from age 3; babies and two-year-olds sail free with a parent or guardian. Send us the ages, and the cabin plan and head count reach you in writing ahead of payment.
We handle the booking, the payment and the pickup, while the boat's crew of 7 runs the trip itself. Once the balance is in, the final plan arrives in writing: cabins by name, the pickup point for each hotel, and the route with its caveats.
Payments we accept
Secure payment by Stripe, Airwallex, American Express, Visa, Mastercard.
Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.
What the organiser collects from the group
Someone in the group has to do the collecting. That person gathers a name, an age, a flight number and a Labuan Bajo hotel from everyone, and settles who wants a balcony and who's happy in a Superior Suite.
Then the money. Take the boat price, divide it by the number of guests and ask each person to send their share to the organiser. The price tables do the division for you, rounding each share to the nearest ten thousand rupiah, so the organiser nudges the last share up or down.
If you need a cot, a child seat or a child-sized life jacket, ask us and read our written answer before paying. Anything we can't confirm stays off the plan.
When we move you to another boat
Should a breakdown, a port order or a park order stop the boat, your group moves to another phinisi in the same class or above, on your own dates and with nothing more to pay. Or the group takes its money back in full, paid within 14 days. The boat, the date and the cabins are confirmed in writing, and the organiser forwards one message to the group. Nobody has to renegotiate at the pier.
The group decides which of the two it wants.
Booking goes through PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363. We are open every day, 08:00 to 20:00 WITA, and anything sent outside those hours gets an answer the next morning.
You won't be left guessing. If the date moves or the boat changes, you get a message with the new boat, the new date and the cabin plan, and you tell us whether the group agrees.
