Updated 26 October 2026

Komodo graduation trip boat friends: the cost per head falls as the class grows. With 18 on Senada Phinisi, 3 days cost IDR 5,330,000 (≈ USD 327) each for the boat and 2 days cost IDR 4,170,000 (≈ USD 256), sleeping in twos, threes and fours.

Eighteen graduates and the sum per head

The class trip is a sum, and the sum gets kinder as the group grows. The whole boat for 18 guests is IDR 96,000,000 (≈ USD 5,890) for 3 days, which is IDR 5,330,000 (≈ USD 327) each. For 12 guests the same boat is IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785), or IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each. Every extra graduate lowers everyone's share.

Up to 12 guests the band is IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785), and each guest from the thirteenth up to 18 adds IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184). The table below runs through every size of class.

The price covers the boat, transfers, meals, snacks, drinks and snorkel gear. It leaves out park tickets, flights, hotels before and after and tips, and on a private trip the guide and the documentation. Add those to the budget before anyone says yes.

Post the number in the group chat, and see who is in.

Cabins shared in twos, threes and fours

Eighteen friends, six cabins. Sleep in twos, threes and fours. The two upper-deck Panoramic Suites take four each, the main-deck Panoramic Suite and the Deluxe Ocean Suite take three each, and the two Superior Suites take two each: 4 and 4, 3 and 3, 2 and 2, which is 18.

The Panoramic Suites have a balcony, so decide who takes them. Draw lots, or let the ones who organised it have them. The Superior Suites have no extra bed, so they are the pairs. The cabins page shows every cabin in photographs.

Extra beds are the reason the price drops. Four in a cabin is a closer cabin than a pair, and the group should agree on that before booking.

Find out who minds sharing with three others. Better to hear it now than on the first night.

Two nights or one, with a student's wallet

Two days or three or four. For 18 guests, 2 days cost IDR 4,170,000 (≈ USD 256) each, 3 days cost IDR 5,330,000 (≈ USD 327) each, and 4 days cost IDR 6,670,000 (≈ USD 409) each, for the boat only.

The third day adds a snorkel at Siaba or Sebayur and a slower end, for a price per head that the table shows. In 2 days the group sees Rinca and Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, then Taka Makassar and Manta Point: most of the classic loop. The 4-day route is a sample, with a Komodo Island walk and free time at Kelor.

If the money is the limit, two days is the honest answer. If the time is the limit, three days gives the group a morning to sit.

A shared departure is a different sum. Seats start at IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) for 2 days. The whole boat never drops below the Superior seat fare per head, so a class of 18 chooses the boat for the dates and the cabin plan, not for the lowest fare.

Parents, deposits and who signs

Put down 50% of the total to start; the remainder is paid 30 days before departure. Someone has to pay it first, and that is a parent in many classes. A parent can pay the deposit by the methods in the payment block, and the group pays the balance together.

Choose one organiser, who signs the booking, collects the shares and sends the names. We write to that person, and we confirm the cabin plan and the price in writing before anyone pays.

If someone drops out, the date sets the refund. Under 30 days there is nothing; from 30 to 59 days it is 25%, and from 60 days before departure it is 50%. A change of date is free until 30 days before departure.

The names and ID details of every guest are due at least seven days before departure. Children aged 3 and over pay the full fare, which matters if a younger sibling comes along.

A plan with room for the evening

A 2-day plan still has an evening in it. Day 1: pickup before an 11:00 start, lunch, Kelor, the Rinca walk, then the bats at Kalong at sunset and dinner on board. Day 2 starts with the Padar sunrise, so the night is the time to be loud and then asleep.

The evening is the group's. The boat has a karaoke set and a TV with a Bluetooth sound system, and the sundeck has bean bags. The karaoke is a set on board, not a promise of a party, and the captain's rules come first.

The class sings together, and anyone who wants a quiet cabin and a cold room can have one. Alarms for Padar are set for the ones who want to see it.

For the night, the weather and the captain's call on that day pick the place where the boat stays.

FAQ

Can parents pay the deposit?

Yes. The deposit is 50% of the total, and it can be paid by the methods in the payment block, by anyone, once we have confirmed the cabin plan and price in writing. Choose one organiser to sign and to collect the group's shares.

Do we need adults over 21?

Tell us the ages in the group; before you pay, we write back to say whether an age rule applies. Ages 0 to 2 are free, and from 3 up the full fare applies.

How many share a cabin?

Two in each Superior Suite, which has no extra bed. Up to three in the main-deck Panoramic Suite and the Deluxe Ocean Suite, and up to four in each upper-deck Panoramic Suite. The price follows the head count, not the cabins.

Can we bring a speaker?

TV, Bluetooth sound and a karaoke set are already on board, so the group's own speaker can stay at home. If you want to bring one, ask us, and we confirm in writing. Karaoke and music are for the group, not a promise of a party.

Are there rules on drinks and age?

Ask us about alcohol and age rules; the answer is in writing before you pay. Free-flow mineral water, tea, coffee and milk are included.
