Four days with the afternoons left open

Day 3 opens with breakfast and the walk on Komodo Island. It is more time on land than the first two days, so the group decides together who goes. The paths are dirt, the heat is real, and grandparents and small children decide on the day how far they walk.

Lunch is back on board. In the afternoon the boat anchors for a snorkel at Siaba or Sebayur, the captain choosing which, and dinner is on board.

By now the group has found its feet on the boat. Everyone knows their cabin, where the bean bags are and whose turn it is in the canoe. That is what a third day gives you and a shorter trip can't.

Day 4 is free time at Kelor. Walk, swim, then lie on the beach.

Together means breakfast and the last swim. Your own time is an hour on the beach, a book on the sundeck or one more shower before the boat turns for home. Pass the snorkel round once more if anyone wants it.

Around midday she ties up in Labuan Bajo, where a car waits to take everyone to the hotel or the airport. Book flights after 14:00.

There's enough of the morning on the way back to repack and rinse off the salt. A flight after 14:00 leaves room for the drop-off, a shower and a meal before the airport.

Take the fourth day if your group moves at different speeds. The grandparents get a morning without a climb, the teenagers get another swim, and whoever set an alarm for Padar has one more evening to tell everyone about it.
